Choose the park around your group

Frisco’s Parks and Recreation department lists the city’s parks, trails, museums, and recreation opportunities. Start there rather than assuming that every park has the same facilities. Decide whether your group wants a playground, a walking route, or a place to sit, then choose the location around that priority.

Keep the route easy to change

Use a short out-and-back walk when you do not know a trail. You can turn around whenever the group is ready, and you will not need to finish a loop to get back to the car. If you are bringing wheels, check the route surface and permitted uses with the park’s official information.

Make a quiet finish

Bring a snack and leave time to sit after the walk. Check weather, park notices, and restroom information before setting out. Do not make shade or water availability part of the plan without verifying it. A short outing that everyone enjoys is a better foundation for the next visit than an ambitious route you have to rush.
